Chart Registration Status and What to Do Next

Marketing Tools · 2 min read · Updated Oct 12, 2026

After you submit a chart registration, it moves through three statuses. This guide explains what each one means and what to do if something needs fixing.

New to chart registration? Start with Chart Registration: What It Is and How It Works.

The three statuses

Status What it means What to do
Pending We’ve received your request and our team is reviewing it. Nothing. We’ll email you once it’s decided.
Accepted Your registration went through. Your release is eligible for chart tracking. Nothing. You’re all set.
Declined We couldn’t accept it as submitted. The reason is shown on your registration. Read the reason, fix the issue, then resubmit.

Reviews take 1-3 business days.

Where to check

  • Chart Registration page: open any registration to see its status, the date submitted, and the date reviewed.
  • Your release page: the Chart & Extras section shows the same status for that release.
  • Email: we email you when your registration is received, accepted or declined. If you’ve turned off release status emails in your notification settings, you won’t get these, but the status always shows on the page.

If your registration was declined

  1. Open Chart Registration and select the declined registration.
  2. Read the note from our team. It tells you exactly what needs fixing.
  3. Make the fix, for example by correcting the release details.
  4. Select Fix and resubmit.

Your registration goes back to Pending and we review it again. You don’t need to start a new one, and it keeps the same release.

Frequently asked questions

How long does it stay Pending? Usually 1-3 business days. If it’s been longer, reach us through live chat with your release title.

I didn’t get an email. Did it go through? Check the Chart Registration page. If the registration is listed, we have it. Also check your spam folder and your email notification settings.

Why was my registration declined? Every declined registration includes a reason from our team, shown when you open it.

Can I cancel a registration? Contact us through live chat and mention the release title.

My release isn’t on the list, so I can’t submit. Only approved, delivering and live releases can be registered. Once yours is approved, it’ll appear in the list.

Do I need to do anything after it’s accepted? No. Accepted means your release is registered and eligible for chart tracking.
