How the HyDistro Affiliate Programme works

The HyDistro Affiliate Programme is for people who want to promote HyDistro seriously: creators, producers, managers, community owners and anyone with an audience of artists. Approved affiliates get their own link, campaign tracking, banners, higher commission rates and bonuses, plus a dashboard that shows exactly who signed up and what happened next.

This article explains everything: how it differs from the normal referral programme, how to apply, how referrals are tracked, how and when you get paid, and what happens in every common situation.

Affiliate programme vs the normal referral programme

Every HyDistro user has a referral code. The affiliate programme builds on top of it. Here is how they compare.

Once you are an approved affiliate, your affiliate dashboard replaces the Refer & Earn page for you. Everything you need, including your code, your earnings and sending money to your wallet, is in one place.

Who can apply

The affiliate programme is open to members who qualify. The requirement to qualify can change over time, so the best way to check is to open the application page. If you do not qualify yet, you will see a short message saying so, and you can try again later.

How to apply

1. Log in to your HyDistro account and open the affiliate application page.
2. Fill in the form. It has three short sections:
   • About you: your full name, country and, optionally, a WhatsApp number.
   • Your audience: your main platform, your social handles or website (at least one is required), the size of your audience and who follows you.
   • How you will promote: how many artists you expect to refer, and how you plan to promote HyDistro.
3. Tick the confirmation box to say the information is true and that you will promote HyDistro honestly.
4. Submit the form. The page will show that your application is under review.

What happens after you apply

Our team reads every application by hand. You will get an email either way.

• Approved: you get an email with a button to open your affiliate dashboard. Your link, banners and tools are ready straight away.
• Not approved: you get an email with the reason. You can update your details and apply again.

Review times can vary, so please do not submit the same application more than once.

Your affiliate dashboard

After approval, open your affiliate dashboard. It has these tabs:

• Overview: your affiliate link and code with copy buttons, your clicks, signups and paid referrals, your earnings, and your progress towards the next tier and the next milestone bonus.
• Analytics: detailed charts and payment figures for your referrals.
• Campaign links: create a separate link for each place you promote, and see how each one performs.
• Banners: ready-made banners with your code on them.
• Referrals: everyone you brought in, with the date they joined, how long ago that was, where they came from and whether they have paid.
• Rewards: the commission tiers, milestone bonuses and everything affiliates get.

Your affiliate link and campaign links

Your main affiliate link looks like this:

Your real link is shown on your dashboard with a copy button. When someone clicks it, they are taken to the HyDistro registration page.

Campaign links let you track where your signups come from. Create one for every place you post, for example “Instagram bio”, “YouTube video 12” or “WhatsApp group”. Each link has its own clicks, signups and paid referrals, so you can see which posts actually work. You can create up to 25 campaign links and delete any you no longer need. Deleting a link does not delete its past signups or stats.

Banners and embed codes

The Banners tab gives you banners in several sizes, including Instagram post, Story and Reels, link share, X header and two website sizes. Every banner carries your code.

For each banner you can:

• Copy the embed code. Choose which of your links the banner should open (your main link or any campaign link) and copy the ready-made HTML into your website or blog. Your link is already inside it.
• Download it as an image to post on social media.

How referrals are tracked

This is what happens behind the scenes when someone uses your link:

1. They click your link. HyDistro remembers that you sent them, for 60 days, on that browser.
2. They create a new HyDistro account and verify their email.
3. The moment their account is set up, they are saved to your dashboard as a signup from your link.
4. When they pay for their first plan, your commission is recorded automatically.

A few things to know:

• New accounts only. A person who already has a HyDistro account cannot be attached to you through a link.
• Same browser. The link is remembered on the device and browser where it was clicked. If someone clicks your link on their phone but creates their account on a laptop, the signup cannot be matched to you.
• 60 days. If someone clicks your link but only registers more than 60 days later, the signup is not matched.
• Clicks are counted once per browser for each link.
• The first affiliate wins. If a person is already saved against one affiliate, they are not moved to another.

What the artist gets

Artists who join through an affiliate link get a welcome discount:

• For the first 30 days after they sign up, your code is filled in automatically at checkout and locked, so they cannot change or remove it. They get 10% off the first billing cycle of their first plan (the first month on a monthly plan, the first year on a yearly plan).
• After 30 days, no code is filled in and there is no automatic discount. They can still type a referral code at checkout if they have one.

Either way, you still earn your commission when they pay. The 30 days only affects the artist’s discount, not your earnings.

How you get paid

When a commission is earned

You earn a commission when an artist you brought in pays for their first plan. It is calculated on what the artist actually paid, after any discount. This applies whether they came through your link or typed your code at checkout.

Commission is earned on the artist’s first plan payment only. Later renewals, upgrades and add-ons do not earn commission.

The commission rate is set by your tier at the moment the artist pays.

Commission tiers

Your tier is based on how many artists you have brought in who have paid for their first plan.

Only confirmed payments count. Payments that were reversed, or that are still under review, are not counted until they are cleared. These tier figures may be updated over time, and your Rewards tab always shows the current ones.

Holding period and sending money to your wallet

Every commission goes through a short holding period after the artist pays. During this time it shows as In holding on your Overview tab, with the date of the next release. Once the holding period ends it becomes Available.

To get your money, open your Overview tab and press Send to wallet. The amount moves into your HyDistro wallet, and from there you can withdraw it like any other balance.

Milestone bonuses

On top of commission, you earn a one-time cash bonus each time your paid referrals reach a milestone.

Beyond 5,000 paid referrals, we agree a custom arrangement with you. Each bonus is paid once and credited to your wallet. If a bonus shows “Reached, being processed”, our team is finalising it. These figures may be updated over time, and your Rewards tab always shows the current ones.

Referrals under review

We run automatic checks to protect the programme from self-referral and abuse. A small number of referrals may be held for a manual check. They show as In review on your dashboard. If our team approves one, it is released and you are emailed. Referring yourself, or accounts you control, is not allowed.

What happens in common situations

Someone signs up through my link but never pays

They stay saved in your Referrals tab with the status Not paid yet. There is no commission, because there is no payment. Nothing expires on your side. If they ever pay for a first plan, you will be credited.

Someone signs up and pays within 30 days

Your code is applied automatically at checkout and they get 10% off their first billing cycle. When the payment is confirmed, your commission is recorded at your tier rate, and you get an email.

Someone signs up and pays after 30 days

They no longer get the automatic code, so no automatic discount unless they type a code themselves. You are still credited for the commission, because you brought them in. The 30 days only limits the artist’s discount.

Someone pays months or even years later

You still earn your commission, as long as your affiliate access is active at that time. The signup stays saved against you permanently.

Someone who signed up through my link types a different person’s code

This can only happen after the first 30 days, because the code is locked until then. If they type another person’s code at checkout, the owner of that code earns the commission, since it is the code they chose to use.

Someone already has a HyDistro account

They cannot be attached to you through a link, because links only track newly created accounts.

Someone signs up on a different device or browser

If the link was clicked on one device and the account was created on another, we cannot connect the two. The signup will not appear in your dashboard.

A payment is refunded or reversed

The commission linked to that payment is reversed as well.

Programme rules

• Promote HyDistro honestly. No spam, and no misleading claims about prices, features or results.
• No self-referral. You cannot earn commission on your own account or on accounts you control.
• Any application or referral may be reviewed by our team at any time.
• We may end affiliate access if these rules are broken. Earnings you have already been paid or credited are kept.
• Programme terms, rates and requirements may be updated from time to time. Please also read our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Frequently asked questions

Does my normal referral code still work after I become an affiliate? Yes. Your code works exactly as before, and referrals from your code earn your affiliate rate. You can find your code on your affiliate dashboard.

Where did the Refer & Earn page go? Once you are an approved affiliate, you are taken to your affiliate dashboard instead. It includes everything from Refer & Earn: your code, your earnings and sending money to your wallet.

Can I see who signed up through my link? Yes. The Referrals tab lists everyone, with their join date, how long ago that was, the campaign they came from and whether they have paid. Email addresses are partly hidden for privacy.

How many campaign links can I have? Up to 25.

Can I lose my affiliate access? Yes, if the programme rules are broken. Your stats and earnings are kept.

My application was not approved. What now? Read the reason in the email, update your details and apply again from the application page.

Does commission apply to renewals and add-ons? No. Commission is earned on the artist’s first plan payment only.
