How Long Does a Release Take to Go Live?

How long it takes for your release to actually appear on stores depends on your chosen release speed and the individual store’s own processing time once HyDistro delivers your release to them.

Release Speed on HyDistro

  • Priority Release — goes live within 2 to 3 days
  • Basic Release — takes up to 7 days, depending on the store

This is the time HyDistro takes to review and deliver your release. Once delivered, each store then processes it on their own timeline before it appears publicly.

Typical Store Processing Times

After delivery, most major stores typically take:

  • Spotify — usually the fastest, often live within 1 to 3 days after delivery
  • Apple Music — typically 1 to 3 days, though new/unverified artist profiles can take longer for the first release
  • YouTube Music — usually a few days, and can take longer if Content ID matching is involved
  • Audiomack — generally quick, often within a day or two
  • TikTok — sound availability can take a few days after delivery, separate from the main release going live elsewhere

These are typical ranges, not guarantees — individual store backlogs, holidays, and first-time artist verification can all add extra time.

Why We Recommend Scheduling Ahead

Because store processing happens after HyDistro’s own release speed, the total time from submission to “live everywhere” is really: HyDistro review + delivery time + each store’s own processing time. This is exactly why we recommend scheduling releases at least 21 days ahead — it absorbs any store-side delays without pushing your release date.

If Your Release Is Late

If your release date has passed and it’s still not live on a specific store, reach out to support with the release name and the store in question, and we’ll check on the delivery status.
