How Do I Cancel My Subscription and Can I Get a Refund?

You can cancel your subscription at any time. Before you do, there are two things worth understanding clearly: cancellation is immediate, and there’s no refund.

Cancellation takes effect immediately

When you cancel, it applies straight away — not at the end of your current billing period. From that moment, you’re no longer on your paid plan.

This means if you cancel partway through a period you’ve already paid for, you do not continue enjoying the plan until that period runs out. Access ends when you cancel.

There is no refund

Cancelling does not refund any outstanding payment. Whatever you’ve already paid for the current period is not returned or credited back to you. See our Refund Policy for full details.

If you’ve just paid for a new billing period and then cancel, that payment is not recoverable, so it’s worth cancelling with your billing date in mind rather than immediately after being charged.

Your releases stay live

Cancelling does not remove your music from stores. Your existing releases remain live on every platform and keep generating royalties.

What changes after cancelling

Once cancelled, your account moves to the Free plan, which means:

  • Your royalty rate changes on all future earnings. Your share is based on the plan you’re on when a royalty report arrives, so the Free plan’s cut applies to future royalties — including from releases you put out while subscribed.
  • Paid-only features stop being available immediately.
  • Artists beyond the Free plan’s slot limit become inactive for new releases, though their existing releases stay live and keep earning. See What Happens to My Extra Artist Slots When I Downgrade?.

How to cancel

Cancellation is handled from your Billing page. Open it, find your current subscription, and choose to cancel. You’ll be asked to confirm before it’s applied.

Consider downgrading instead

If your reason for cancelling is cost rather than wanting to leave entirely, moving to a lower paid plan keeps you on better terms than falling to Free. See What Happens When I Downgrade My Plan?.

Resubscribing later

You can resubscribe at any time. Once you’re back on a paid plan, that plan’s royalty rate applies to royalty reports from that point forward, and your feature access and artist slots return.

Summary: You can cancel your subscription at any time from your plan or billing settings, but cancellation takes effect immediately rather than at the end of your paid period, and there is no refund for any outstanding payment. Your releases stay live on stores and keep earning. After cancelling, your account moves to the Free plan, which changes your royalty share on all future earnings including from older releases, removes access to paid-only features, and makes artists beyond the Free slot limit inactive for new releases. If cost is the issue, downgrading to a lower paid plan keeps you on better terms than falling back to Free. You can resubscribe at any time.
