How Do I Merge Artist Profiles?

You currently can’t merge two artist profiles together on HyDistro. Instead, here’s what you can do to manage multiple artists effectively.

Managing multiple artists

Your My Artists page lets you manage all your artists in one place:

• Primary Artists — Your own artist identities, with slots depending on your plan (1–5).
• Collaborators — Every artist who’s appeared on your releases, viewable and manageable in the same dashboard.

Editing and removing collaborators

From your artist dashboard, you can edit or remove a worked-with artist directly:

• Removing a worked-with artist does not remove them from any release they’re already credited on — it simply removes them from your artist list going forward.
• Editing a worked-with artist’s details does not affect releases that have already been submitted.

If you need changes on an existing release

If you want to actually remove an artist from a specific release, or edit their credit on a release that’s already been submitted, that’s not self-service — you’ll need to contact support directly for that.

Summary: Merging artist profiles isn’t currently supported on HyDistro. Instead, you can manage all your artists — Primary Artists and Collaborators — from your My Artists dashboard, where you can edit or remove any worked-with artist. Removing or editing a collaborator only affects your artist list going forward; it doesn’t change anything on releases already submitted. If you need to remove or edit an artist’s credit on an existing, already-submitted release, that requires contacting support directly.
