How Do Release Archives Work?

Archiving lets you tidy up your My Releases view without affecting anything about the release itself.

What archiving does

When you archive a release, it’s simply hidden from your main My Releases dashboard and moved into your Archive. Archiving is purely organizational — it doesn’t affect:

  • Distribution — the release stays exactly as it is on stores.
  • Royalties — earnings continue exactly as normal.
  • Reports — the release still appears fully in your analytics and royalty reports.

Where to find archived releases

Archived releases live under Archive, inside My Catalogue.

Unarchiving a release

You can unarchive a release at any time. Go to Archive under My Catalogue, find the release, and unarchive it to bring it back into your main My Releases view.

Why use archiving

If your catalogue is large and you want to declutter your active releases view — for example, hiding older or less relevant releases — archiving keeps your dashboard focused without impacting anything happening behind the scenes.

Summary: Archiving a release hides it from your main My Releases dashboard and moves it into your Archive, purely for organizational purposes — it doesn’t affect distribution, royalties, or reporting in any way. Archived releases can be found under Archive inside My Catalogue, and can be unarchived at any time to bring them back into your main view. It’s a simple way to declutter your dashboard without impacting anything about how the release actually performs or distributes.
