How does the recoupment ledger work?

How Does the Recoupment Ledger Work?

Your recoupment ledger tracks exactly how your advance balance is being paid down, period by period.

What’s in the ledger

Each month, your ledger records:

  • Opening balance — what you owed at the start of the period
  • Royalties applied — how much of that period’s royalties went toward recoupment
  • Closing balance — what remains after that period’s royalties were applied
  • Percent recouped — your cumulative progress toward full recoupment

Where to find it

On your advance dashboard, go to the Recoupment tab. You’ll see:

  • A running total of everything recouped so far
  • A monthly breakdown table showing each period’s opening balance, amount applied, and closing balance
  • A visual chart of your monthly recoupment activity

How often it updates

The ledger updates monthly, reflecting royalties as they’re applied to your balance.

Why this matters

The ledger gives you full visibility into your recoupment — you can see exactly how much has come off your balance each month and track your progress toward being fully recouped.
