READ: HyDistro referral programme rules
The rules that apply to everyone who gives or uses a referral code.
These rules keep the referral programme fair for all artists. By sharing or using a referral code, you agree to follow them. HyDistro may update these rules from time to time.
Who can take part
- Every HyDistro account has one referral code, created automatically. Codes can’t be changed, transferred, bought or sold.
- Anyone can share their code, including Free accounts.
Using a referral code
- A code can only be used by another person. You can’t use your own code.
- It works only on a first plan purchase. The person must be on the Free plan and must never have paid for a plan before.
- It works on plan purchases only. It doesn’t apply to add-ons, AI mastering, artwork credits, publishing, renewals, or upgrades from one paid plan to another.
- The code must be entered before payment. It can’t be added to a payment afterwards.
- One referral code can be used per purchase, and each artist can use a referral code once.
Earnings
- A commission is earned once per referred artist, on their first plan payment made with your code. Renewals and other purchases do not earn a commission.
- Commissions are based on what the referred artist actually pays after their discount.
- A commission is credited after the payment is confirmed and the plan is active.
- Referral earnings must be moved to your main wallet before they can be withdrawn. Normal wallet withdrawal rules apply.
What is not allowed
To protect the programme, the following are not allowed:
- Self-referral. This includes using your own code, or creating or using extra accounts, accounts belonging to someone you control, or shared devices or networks to refer yourself.
- Funding referrals. Paying for, or reimbursing, another person’s plan so that you can earn a commission.
- Fraudulent payments. Using stolen, borrowed or unauthorised payment methods, or payments that are later reversed or charged back.
- Guessing codes. Trying codes at random, or using bots, scripts or automated tools to enter codes.
- Misleading promotion. Pretending to be HyDistro, making false claims about HyDistro or the programme, or spamming your code.
- Trading codes. Buying, selling or exchanging referral codes or earnings.
- Anything else that tries to earn commissions or discounts in a way the programme wasn’t designed for.
What we may do
We review referral activity to keep the programme fair. If something looks unusual, we may:
- Place a referral under review and hold its commission until the review is complete.
- Temporarily pause referral codes on an account, for example after repeated incorrect codes.
- Reverse a commission or remove a discount if a payment was reversed, charged back, or found to break these rules.
- Remove a person’s access to the referral programme.
- In serious or repeated cases, restrict or close the account.
If we take action, you can submit a support ticket and we’ll explain what we found.
