How Does My HyDistro Wallet Work?
Summary
Your HyDistro wallet is where your money lives on the platform. Royalties, split shares, publishing earnings, referral rewards, refunds and money sent to you by other HyDistro users all land here, and you can follow every cent from one page. This article explains what each number on the Wallet page means, how your earnings move from Upcoming to Available, how amounts are shown in your own currency, what you can do with your money, and how to protect it. If you ever need to stop all activity on your wallet immediately, you can freeze it in seconds through live chat.
What your wallet is
Every HyDistro account has a wallet, created automatically when you sign up. Think of it as your account’s bank balance inside HyDistro. Money comes in from your music and from other HyDistro users, and it leaves when you withdraw it, pay for something on HyDistro, or send it to another user.
How to open your wallet
- Log in to your HyDistro dashboard.
- Open the Wallet page from the dashboard menu, or go straight to it at https://dashboard.hydistro.com/wallet
What you will see on the Wallet page
Your card. At the top is your wallet card. It shows your Available Balance, which is the money you can use right now. Underneath are the last four digits of your card number and your HyTag. A small percentage badge compares your earnings this month with last month, and it turns red when earnings dipped.
Withdrawn, Processing and Lifetime Earned. Below the card are three totals:
- Withdrawn is the total amount that has been paid out to you.
- Processing is the total of withdrawal requests that have been made but not yet paid.
- Lifetime Earned is the total your releases have earned since you joined. If you share royalties with collaborators through splits, this figure counts the full amount before the split, while your Available Balance only receives your own share.
Balance Breakdown. A chart showing where your Available Balance came from. See How Do I Read My Wallet Balance Breakdown? for a full explanation.
Wallet to Wallet. Your HyTag, with a Copy button, and a button to send money to another HyDistro user. See How Do I Send and Receive Money With a HyTag? for the details.
Upcoming Earnings. Money from stores that has been reported but is not yet available. It is listed store by store with an estimate of how many days remain. This money cannot be withdrawn yet. On the Free plan this section is locked; you can see the plans at https://hydistro.com/pricing
Wallet Health. A score out of 100 built from four simple checks: a payout method is connected, you have a balance available, you have at least one live release, and you have completed a withdrawal. Each check you pass raises the score.
Insights. Plain-language notes such as how your earnings changed, which release earned the most, and which platform performs best.
Recent Withdrawals. Your latest withdrawal requests and their status. Paid means the money has been sent. Processing means it is on its way. On Hold means a routine security check is being completed and your money is safe. Refunded means a request was not completed and the money was returned to your wallet.
All Transactions. Every movement in your wallet, newest first. Use the search box to find one, and tap any row to open its receipt. To get a document for a period of time, read How Do I Download My Wallet Statement and Receipts?
How earnings reach your wallet
- A store reports what your music earned. This first appears under Upcoming Earnings.
- HyDistro reviews and confirms the earnings. Royalties are processed within 20 to 30 days.
- Confirmed earnings move into your Available Balance and show up in All Transactions.
To take your money out, read How Do I Withdraw My Earnings From My Wallet?
Your currency
HyDistro keeps every balance in US dollars behind the scenes, then shows it to you in your preferred currency, which you can set in your account settings under Preferences. The exchange rate used on the Wallet page is the same one that applies when you withdraw. The withdrawal page shows you an estimate of what you will receive before you confirm.
What you can do with your money
- Withdraw it to your bank, PayPal or crypto wallet. See How Do I Withdraw My Earnings From My Wallet?
- Pay for plans and services at checkout with your HyCard. See What Is HyCard and How Do I Set It Up?
- Send it to another HyDistro user by HyTag. See How Do I Send and Receive Money With a HyTag?
Keeping your wallet safe
- Set a wallet PIN and never share it. HyDistro will never ask you for it.
- We email you when a PIN is created or changed, or when a card is locked after wrong PIN attempts.
- Keep an eye on your inbox. Security alerts are sent to your account email, so make sure that email address is one you check.
Need to freeze your wallet right now? Open live chat at https://support.hydistro.com/live-chat and send the message Freeze wallet to Hylora. Your wallet is frozen instantly, and there is no need to wait for a support agent. While a wallet is frozen, withdrawals, HyTag transfers and payments are stopped, and the wallet cannot receive transfers. Royalties keep arriving, so you never lose earnings. To have your wallet unfrozen, contact support at https://support.hydistro.com/submit-ticket. You can read more in What Does It Mean If My Wallet Is Frozen?
Common questions
Why is my Available Balance lower than my Lifetime Earned? Lifetime Earned is everything your releases have earned. Your Available Balance is what is left after withdrawals, payments you have made, money sent to others and any royalty shares paid out to collaborators.
I earned money but cannot withdraw it. Why? If it is listed under Upcoming Earnings, it has not been confirmed yet. It becomes available once HyDistro confirms it.
A transaction I expected is missing. Search for it in All Transactions. If you still cannot find it, tell us at https://support.hydistro.com/submit-ticket and include the date and the amount.
